Rodeo mobile app | Rodeo Docs

The Rodeo app puts your workspace in your pocket: read and edit any page live with your team, capture an idea the moment you have it, share a link from any app straight into Rodeo, and get a notification when someone needs you.

The app is a companion to Rodeo on the web and desktop. It's built for reading, capturing, commenting and quick edits on the go; building databases, boards and sites stays on the bigger screen. It's on its way to the App Store and Google Play, for iPhone and Android.

Do it

Get started

Install Rodeo from the App Store or Google Play once it's listed.

Open it and sign in with the same account you use on the web:

enter your email and tap Email me a sign-in link, then tap the link in the email on the same phone; or

tap Continue with Google; or

on iPhone, use Sign in with Apple.

New to Rodeo? Signing in for the first time gives you a free workspace. See Sign up and sign in.

The app has four tabs along the bottom: Browse, Search, Inbox and Settings.

Browse and read

Browse shows your workspace: a switcher at the top if you have more than one, your favorites, and your spaces and pages, nested as they are on the web. Tap a page to read it. Mentions, callouts, sub-pages and linked databases all work; blocks the phone can't show, such as diagrams or math, open the page on the web.

Pages you've opened stay readable without a connection. When you're offline, a bar says Offline — showing saved pages.

Edit together

Open a page and edit it. Your changes sync live with everyone else, on the web, desktop and other phones, and you see their cursors as they type.

Capture fast

Tap + on the Browse tab to start a new page.

Long-press the Rodeo icon on your home screen and choose New page, Search or Inbox.

In any app, tap Share and pick Save to Rodeo. A link, some text or a photo becomes a new page in your current workspace. Tap Save page.

Work with databases

Open a database to see its table, board, gallery or list views. Tap a row to see all its properties, change text, numbers, checkboxes, selects and dates, and add or delete rows. New views and properties are made on the web. See Database basics.

Comment, share and stay in the loop

Comment on a page, @-mention a teammate, and resolve threads. See Comments.

Share a page by email with view, comment or edit access, or remove someone's access. See Sharing and access requests.

Inbox lists mentions, replies, assignments and reminders, with an unread badge. Tap Mark all read to clear it.

Notifications reach your phone when someone mentions you, replies to you or assigns you something. Tap one to go straight to it.

Find anything

Search finds pages across your workspace as you type into "Search pages…".

Tips and limits

Same account everywhere. Use the same email, Google or Apple account you use on the web, and you'll see the same workspaces.

Change workspace from the switcher at the top of Browse.

Add a photo from your camera or library as a page's cover or icon.

Sign out or Delete account from Settings. Deleting your account also deletes workspaces you're the only owner of; the app lists them first. See Delete your account.

Links open in the app. A link to a Rodeo page opens that page in the app once you're signed in.

The mobile app is free on every plan.

Ideas

Notes walking out of the meeting. Long-press the icon, tap New page, and get the three decisions down before you reach the lift.

Save it for the board. Spot a competitor's Reel on Instagram, tap Share → Save to Rodeo, and drag the page onto the research board when you're back at your desk. See What a board is.

Approve on the go. Femi gets a notification when Ada mentions him on the launch checklist, reads it on the train, and ticks off the item.

Troubleshooting

The sign-in link opened my browser instead of the app. Open the email on the same phone the app is on and tap the link there. If it still opens the browser, copy the link and paste it into the app's Paste sign-in link field.

I see an empty workspace instead of my team's. You signed in with a different address. Sign out from Settings and sign in with the address your team invited. See Members, roles and invites.

I don't get notifications. Allow notifications for Rodeo in your phone's settings, then sign out and in again.

A block says to open it on the web. Some blocks, such as diagrams, math, buttons and HTML, only work in the web and desktop apps. Tap it to open the page there.
