Usage allowances | Rodeo Docs

Some Rodeo features cost real money to run, such as transcribing a meeting or a long AI chat on a board, so each plan comes with a generous monthly allowance for them, and Rodeo shows you what's left right where you use it.

Pages, databases, comments, editing and publishing are never metered. Only the features below are.

The allowances

"Per member" allowances multiply by the members in the workspace (everyone except guests). A Team workspace with 4 members gets 4 × 600 = 2,400 meeting minutes a month.

Agents and Connected tools have their own monthly allowances too; they're listed on those pages once the features are switched on.

Monthly allowances reset on the 1st of each calendar month (UTC). Unused minutes and credits don't carry over. Boards and custom domains are counted as they stand: delete a board (move it to trash) or remove a domain and you can add another.

Where you see it

Meeting notes. An empty Meeting notes block shows "N min left this month" under Record and Upload. See Meeting notes.

Board chats. The line under a chat's message box estimates what the next message costs, "≈ N credits". When the workspace runs out, chats say "You're out of AI credits this month". See AI chats and credits.

Board sources. A video or audio source that doesn't fit in the minutes left waits with "Out of minutes this month". See Sources.

Members. The plan bar in Members & settings shows how many members you use against your cap.

The Founders' Deal plan bar shows "200 AI requests/mo".

Check what's left

Open any page with a Meeting notes block to see the minutes left, or open a board chat to see the credit estimate.

Click Members & settings at the bottom of the sidebar to see members against your plan's cap.

When you hit a limit

Rodeo tells you what ran out, for example "This plan includes 3 boards. Upgrade to add more." Some messages come with an Upgrade button.

Owners and admins can upgrade from Members & settings: see Plans and limits. Everyone else can ask an owner or admin.

Or wait for the 1st: monthly allowances refill then.

Tips and limits

Credits measure AI work on boards. A short question with a small source costs a few credits; a long chat wired to many sources costs more. The estimate shows before you send. See AI chats and credits.

The Opus model in board chats needs Team, Business or the Founders' Deal. On other plans it says "Opus is available on the Team and Business plans".

Rodeo AI requests (Ask AI, editor AI and the AI block) are unlimited on every plan except the Founders' Deal. Each person can send up to 30 AI requests a minute.

More members, more allowance. Per-member allowances grow the moment someone joins.

A workspace that drops to Free after a cancelled or failed payment moves to Free's allowances straight away.

Ideas

Record every client call. On Team, Harbor Studio's 4 members share 2,400 meeting minutes a month: enough for every Kofi Roasters check-in, transcribed and summarised. See Meeting notes.

A research board per pitch. Mia drops competitor videos and podcasts onto a board as sources, and the team chats with them. Watch the "≈ N credits" line to keep big questions for when they matter.

Plan ahead for launch week. If you know a busy month is coming, upgrade a tier for that month and switch back after. See Plans and limits.

Troubleshooting

"You're out of AI credits this month" but it's only the 20th. The workspace's board AI credits are spent. They refill on the 1st, or upgrade for a bigger allowance.

I can't create a new board on Free. Free includes 3 boards. Move one you no longer need to trash, or upgrade. See Trash.

AI says the workspace has used this month's AI allowance. You're on the Founders' Deal and the 200 requests are used. They come back on the 1st.
